Grant at Hudson Sutler recently alerted me to the two newest additions to its selection of duffel bags and it’s safe to say the company has outdone itself again. With all the upcoming holiday and summer travel now is the perfect time to invest in a bag to carry all your essentials for a quick getaway. Allow me to introduce the Catalina and the ‘Sconset.
Inspired by the West Coast wine region and named for Santa Catalina Island, the Catalina is Raspberry Red with black accents. Always one of the signature staples of Hudson Sutler bags, the interior lining is a black and white gingham. The ‘Sconset is named for the Nantucket town of Siasconset and is Nantucket Red with white accents. The ‘Sconset strays from the typical gingham interior and features a navy anchor print interior.
Both bags are crafted from heavy-duty 18 oz. canvas with cotton webbing handles, silver nickel hardware and rust proof resin zippers. The bags have both internal and external zippered pockets to help keep your smaller necessities separate and accessible. The Catalina is available in the commuter size (11″H x 11″W x 18″L)($95) while the ‘Sconset is available in both commuter and weekend (12″H x 12″W x 22″L)($120) sizes. To top it all off these bags are made right here in the USA. Whether you’re heading to wine country or New England or any place in between, make sure you’re stowing your gear in one of these bags.
