Cordies ($18) are a different take on the standard neoprene croakies. Made from military grade paracord with a stress limit of 550 pounds, it’s safe to say they can come in handy for more than just keeping your sunglasses around your neck. Each pair of Cordies is hand knotted in South Carolina by Conor Aubry, who also happens to author the blog Young Man/Old Man. Originally available through The Cordial Churchman’s site, you can now pick up a pair through the recently opened Cordies shop.
The paracord sunglass retainers are a nice change up to have in the bag and are the perfect option for outdoor adventures. You never know when the approximately 14 feet of paracord might come in handy. Conor was kind enough to send a few my way to test and to giveaway to you all. I have three available to giveaway. To enter, leave a comment with the color you’d like and your e-mail address. For a bonus entry, tweet about this giveaway and make sure to mention @greatlakesprep so I can track it. You have until 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, April 22 to enter.
