Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. If you happen to be celebrating this year, I’d strongly suggest making it a Bow Tie Tuesday. Sticking with the New York-based, made in the USA theme and sprinkling in some magical arrows from Cupid himself, today’s bow tie is the 1960s Valentine Print & Vintage Red Shirting Bow Tie by General Knot & Co. ($68).
Based just outside of New York City, General Knot & Co. is the culmination of a chance meeting by a design director and software architect while waiting for a train. The bow ties are made in limited runs from vintage fabrics in New England. This particular bow tie features hearts inside a lattice on fabric from the 1960s on one side and plain red 1950s shirting fabric on the other. The reversible nature gives you all kinds of options for how you wear your bow tie. With only 12 made, you better act fast and pick one up today before they all disappear.
